Village of Hope

The Village of Hope is a multi-stage project focused on providing medical care and community services to the people of Osi-Ekiti and the surrounding communities.  The Village of Hope’s construction began in 2016. The Village will include a health clinic, lab and diagnostic center, pharmacy, community center and will house the mobile vans.

A project like the Village of Hope presents many unique and challenging obstacles. Electricity and water are not easily accessible. Mercy must also build its own wells and power sources in order for the Village to function. This project is donor funded. You can make a difference by making a donation to help Mercy build up hope for the people of Osi-Ekiti, Nigeria!

Updates: Currently, there are two buildings that are under construction, the pharmacy and the guest house. The guest house is a wing of the Clinic and will be used in a variety of ways including housing patients and their families, patients waiting for lab results, women waiting to give birth, visiting doctors and nurses, and  missionaries who visit our health center to spread the gospel.

The new and improved clinic will continue to provide:

  • General medical and pediatric consultations and minor general surgical procedures

  • Ophthalmological consultations and dispensing of eye glasses

  • Dispensing medications, supplements, and multivitamins to children and adults

  • Housing the mobile clinic vehicles

  • Providing mosquito nets to people to prevent Malaria

  • Installing and distributing water purification systems
